Partnership with Parents

A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in it's own right. Good parenting and high quality learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.

Communication is most definitely a two-way process, parents and staff inform each other of a child's progress both at home and in the nursery which ensure continuity and consistency. At each stage of your child's development we recognise the importance of communication and having effective and informative relationships with parents, we will of course endeavour to have high levels of communication around particular significant aspects and development stages in your child's life such as, weaning, sleep patterns, comforters, toilet training, moving house, starting school etc.

We recognise how busy our parents are and therefore provide a summary of your babies daily activities, including feed, sleep and nappy changes etc. However, once your child moves on from the baby room, we communicate with you verbally at the beginning and end of each day. We hold regular Parents Evenings and Open Days offering opportunites to discuss the individual progress of your child as well as general service provision.

"My son has been supported and made to feel very secure at Nursery"

"Our eldest daughter attended Little Acorns for 3 years now and has thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The Nursery must take credit for making our daughter into the lovely girl she is. The staff are so warm and really care for the children. You feel safe in the knowledge your child is being well cared for. Our youngest daughter has now been at Nursery for 3 weeks, she has settled in well and we have noticed a marked improvement in her interaction with other adults and children. I would not hesitate to recommend the Nursery to anyone looking for quality childcare within the area"
